Community Rules

Section 1️⃣ - Core Rules

We here at The Tides employ a common sense approach: If something violates the spirit of a rule, it violates the rule itself.

• You must be 18 or older.
• We're adults here, as such, we expect people to behave like responsible adults.
• English is required in the server unless otherwise noted.
• The following is prohibited:
  • Spamming
  • Abusive Trolling
  • Hate Speech
  • Harassment / Bullying
  • Political Discussion of Any Kind
  • Illegal Content
  • Ripping Avatars or Assets
• Keep chat on-topic and in their relevant channels.
  • Includes both text and voice chat.
  • No disrupting the flow of chat (Mass Deletion, Backseat Modding, etc.)
  • For server activities: participate, mute yourself, or leave.

Section 2️⃣ - NSFW Rules

The NSFW section is privilege and the staff may revoke your access at any time.

• NSFW content may only be posted in the NSFW category.
• You may not solicit users with requests without their prior permission.
• The following items are forbidden:
  • Child Porn (In Any Form)
  • Bestiality
    • This does not include monsters
  • Cringe Porn
    • Cringe porn is any kind of porn that is posted as shock value, I.E. Sonic x Shrek.

Section 3️⃣ - Event Rules

To help foster a safe space for everyone that attends our event whether they are a part of The Tides or just a guest for the night, we employ the following rules for our VRChat and Discord Events.

1. We are an 18+ community and thus everyone that attends any of our events or our group+ instances must be 18+. If anyone is found to be not 18+, we will immediately kick them from the instance, ban them from our discord, and the person who invited them will be spoken to.
2. We have an open door policy at all our events. This means all private rooms must remain unlocked and all VIP areas should not be accessed unless the host states otherwise.
3. Every event we host does not have a maximum cap of people that can attend the instance. With that in mind, please check your avatar culling settings before you enter as people may have very poor avatars on.
4. General Avatar Rules
   • No shota, loli, or anything that is child/baby like in appearance is permitted in any NSFW focused events.
   • No avatars below the height of 1 meter.
   • No becoming invisible or use ways to hide your nameplate.
   • No excessive avatar swapping during events.

   Staff have the right to ask you to change your avatar at any point in time. If you are uncooperative, you will be kicked from the instance and immediately given a strike.

5. ERP is allowed, however do exercise common sense. Consent, communication and time and place are massive factors. We do have the occasional NSFW-focused events, but don't assume it means a free-for-all. If you won't do it in front of a crowd in your local pub, don't treat VRChat any differently.
